Make useful opportunities easier to discover.
The Index is an independent information and discovery platform focused on Ethiopia and the wider African region. We organize opportunity announcements and practical resources so students, graduates, professionals and entrepreneurs can find relevant information without searching across dozens of unrelated sources.
What you can explore
Jobs and careers
Discover vacancies, internships, graduate programmes and remote-work opportunities. We aim to provide key eligibility details and links to the original employer announcement whenever available.
Scholarships and fellowships
Explore education funding, academic programmes, exchange opportunities and professional fellowships. Always confirm eligibility, funding coverage and deadlines with the official provider.
Grants and funding
Find calls for proposals, research support, innovation challenges, competitions and programmes for individuals, community organizations and startups.
Digital skills and learning
Review courses, certifications, workshops and training in technology, programming, data, digital marketing, business and other professional skills.
AI tools and digital resources
Explore digital products for learning, research, content creation and productivity, with practical notes about use cases, limitations, pricing and privacy considerations.
Our approach
We aim to explain important details clearly, identify original sources, correct errors when reliable information becomes available and encourage readers to verify requirements directly with the responsible organization. Opportunity details and external pages may change after publication.
Independent platform
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, The Index is not an employer, recruitment agency, scholarship committee, grant maker, training institution or government agency. Publishing a listing does not guarantee its legitimacy, availability, selection or financial benefit. Please report inaccurate details, broken links or suspicious requests.
